A Tribute to Germany[1]: Do You Believe in Superstition?

8 Jul

I don’t believe in any superstition acts. I don’t even believe in coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. There always be something behinds everything.

There’s this famous octopus lives in Sea Life Aquarium, West Germany, named Paul. Not that famous at first actually, because I wouldn’t know him if I didn’t read a post by my blogger friend (to read it click here). At the following day, Paul also been published in national newspaper, Kompas. So yeah okay.. he’s somehow famous.

People says that Paul is able to predict the result of any matches on World Cup. More over, his prophecies are reliable, he only failed to predict once. How superstitious is that, huh? I choose not to believe him of course. Especially because he chose Spain over Germany (to read click here). Grrr.

And what the F hell. That show-no-nationalism-octopus was right. Germany defeated by Spain in World Cup 2010 semifinal, 0-1. Thanks to Charles Puyol for burrying Germans’ dream to achieve their 4th trophy. Instead of Puyol, I really want to exorcise that F octopus.

Before the match held, Joachim Loew, coach of Germany, said that he would wear his blue sweater again like he did when Germany beat England and Argentina. Oh my F God. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read about this news. So Mr. Modern believes in superstition, huh? Hell yeah.

And you know what? Loew did wear the blue sweater and they lost to Spain this time. For the sake of hell Loew. What were you thinking? I thought Germany won most of their matches because of the genius man behind the team, himself. But he showed the world that he believes in superstition like other silly football players.

This morning I read a supporter’s comment due to Germany’s loss. He said, “Too bad Loew chose to wear blue when Germany versus Spain. This could be his fatal mistake because Africa’s nature shows no mercy to blues, like France, Italy, Japan, Argentina, and Uruguay”. Sorry Sir Supporter, but that is just wrong, in so many levels. They were lost because they simply weren’t good enough to win the matches.

Sorry for the F and hell worlds. I use such language because I really am disappointed last night match’ the result.
